Student Council 2019

We are delighted to announce the arrival of our 1st Student Council in the Convent.
There was excitement and anticipation in the run up to the elections.
Congratulations to all the newly elected members of our Student Council.


Irish Homeless Shoebox Appeal 2019

Thank you all for the wonderful 
response to our Christmas Shoebox Appeal.  
108 boxes have been sent to brighten up the lives of some of our homeless children in Ireland.

Skip n Rope Workshop

Belturbet Sports & Physical Activity Hub
Skipping Workshop 

Our school took part in the Skip n Rope schools workshop on Friday 29th November 2019.
The Children learnt some footwork skills, beginner to intermediate skipping tricks, long rope games and partner skipping.  At the end of the workshop some of the kids demonstrated skills they learnt during the day.  Great day of fun was had by all!!

Primary Science Fair - Scoil Naomh Bríd Ballyconnell

5th & 6th class girls had a great day presenting their science experiments and enjoying all the science displays on offer by other local schools.  It was a wonderful experience for everybody.

Retirement Mass and Reception

For 
Breege Flynn, Principal, Convent of Mercy N.S.,
Mass will be celebrated in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Belturbet on Friday, 18th October at 7.00 p.m. to bid a fond farewell to Breege Flynn, Principal, Convent of Mercy N.S. Parents/Guardians, Current Pupils, Past Pupils and members of the community and beyond are all most welcome to attend.  After Mass, all are invited to attend a celebration in the Civic Centre. 
We extend sincere congratulations to Breege who has contributed so inspiringly to the education of so many young people in our community. 
We all wish Breege a very Happy, Healthy and Fulfilling Retirement.
We look forward to seeing you all there!

Artefacts Day 2019


Unfortunately due to weather we had to cancel our Fair Day but of course the show must go on, so over the last couple of days in school the children showed their artefacts to all classes and we even managed to fit in a performance from each class.  Well done to all the children and their teachers.

Aldi & IRFU Sticker Competition

Update....

We would like to thank all the pupils, parents and the local community in our campaign to fill our Aldi Rugby posters.  We are delighted to have completed three posters and will be entering them into the competition in early November. 

Well Done Everyone !!



Our school is taking part in the Aldi and IRFU Rugby Stickers competition.  Our poster is filling up fast!! The children are very excited as we are reaching the top of our first poster.  We are aiming to fill two posters during this competition. Thank you to everyone who has brought in and are continuing to bring in Stickers 😊😊
