Our First Nativity

Today our Junior and Senior Infants performed their

'First Nativity Play' and what a performance it was!! 

Well done to all the children who have been practicing over the last number of weeks.  

They were all stars today and left us all with massive smiles on our faces.

Hey Ewe & Carol Service 2022

On Tuesday night last we celebrated our Carol Service and nativity play in the Church. 

As a school we were delighted to hold this again after 3 long years!!

Thank you to the girls from our Student Council who introduced the night.

Well Done to the Children from 1st & 2nd Class who performed the nativity 'Hey Ewe' along with their teachers Mrs Walsh & Mrs Hyland.

and to the children from 3rd - 6th class who sang some beautiful songs in our carol service along with their teachers Ms Gilroy & Mrs McKernan.

an enjoyable night was had by all🎄🎅

Crumlin Christmas Jumper Day 2022

 On Friday 9th December we celebrated National Christmas Jumper Day for Crumlin Hospital.  

All pupils and staff turned festive wearing a wide variety of Christmas Jumpers to raise funds for this very worthy cause.

Junior & Senior Infants School Tour - Killinkere Pet Farm

 Junior and Senior Infants enjoyed a trip to Killinkere Pet Farm 

where they seen lots of farm animals.  

The also took part in horse riding, tractor and trailer ride to the wishing tree, play in the various play areas and lots more!!

The Treehouse in Whistleberries Forest

             We had great fun last Wednesday when 

             The Whistleberries in the Songtales Truck 

             arrived to entertain Junior to Third Class.  

              They proformed from the treetops, 

                 where a toe-tapping, tale-telling, 

                    hip-shaking hooley awaited!

Loreto TY GAA Football Blitz

Thank you to Loreto College Cavan TY students who organised a fantastic Football Blitz in the 3G pitch in Cavan last Thursday.  

A great day of football that was made extra special by having past pupils as our mentors.

Wacky Socks Day for Down Syndrome

 

World Book Day 2022

 Our school was a hive of excitement today for World Book Day.  

We had an array of characters from all various genres of books.  

The senior girls paired with the junior children in school for Buddy Reading.

There was lots of activities happening in each classroom...reading, quizzes, art, writing and book reviews to name a few..

Pancake Tuesday 2022

 Great fun was had on Pancake Tuesday.  Each class enjoyed making, flipping and most importantly...

eating delicious pancakes...

Marathon Kids 2022

 Our senior girls are taking part in a programme called Marathon Kids this year.  

it is an 8 week programme where students will perform four running sessions each week inching them closer to completing their first marathon as well as learning about the benefits of physical activity.

St Brigid's Day 22

There was a  great buzz around the school 

on February 1st as we celebrated St Brigid's Day.  

Each class made crosses or artwork to celebrate the day.

6 Week Challenge

Commencing January 6th our school will be taking part in the  Cavan Sports Partnership Keep Well Daily mile programme sessions are based on 15mins of active walking/jogging/running and can be anytime during school time. This does not include break time or PE time. 

This Programme will run for 6 weeks and each class is provided with a poster to record the progress of each class.
