Science Week: A Celebration of Curiosity and Collaboration
Last week, our school buzzed with excitement as we celebrated Science Week.

What made this week truly special was the collaboration between the senior girls and the junior children, as they worked together on engaging experiments and fun activities.
The juniors looked up to the seniors, while the seniors gained confidence and pride in their ability to teach and inspire. The laughter, the gasps of surprise, and the cheers of success were a testament to the magic of learning together.
As the week wrapped up, the whole school agreed: Science Week wasn’t just an educational experience—it was a celebration of curiosity, creativity, and connection. Here's to more shared moments of discovery in the future!

💫🌟We recently celebrated our graduation evening with mass followed by a ceremony back in the school .

Orienteering
Junior infants to Second class developed spatial awareness and map skills as well as developing the physical skill of agility, balance and co-ordination for orienteering.
Third to Sixth Class developed agility and running technique for varying terrain as well as learning how to use control cards and orienteering markers.
We had such fun along the way...
Tug O -War
Oh what excitement we had today, as all classes were battling it out with our very special Tug O War instructor who ensured enjoyment for all the children.

Taekwondo
The children participated in Taekwondo a Korean Martial Arts & Cmbat Sport, teaching self defence to our students.
Many thanks to our Martial Arts instructors who guided the children.
It was First - Sixth classes turn to have their sports day. The all had great fun and on return to school everybody was treated to a surprise visit from the Ice cream Van 🍦🍧

Some members of our student council recently presented a cheque for €447.60
to Down Syndrome Cavan which the children raised at our
"Wacky Socks Day" recently.
Thank you to all who supported this event.
Junior and Senior Infants recently engaged in some playful learning about the fire station & firefighters in Aistear.
Well done to our senior girls who participated in our
Division 1 League of Cumann na mBunscol.
The girls showed great determination in each of their games.
We raised our Cinealtas flag to promote well being and
positive friendships in our school community.
Well done to our well being warriors and well being committee
for all their hard work in promoting well being in our school
community.
